dreadful service

I can't believe how dreadful our experience was at The Greek Taverna. I chose it as it was close to the cinema that was our planned final destination and because it advertised itself as offering vegetarian meze. We arrived and were left standing in the middle of the room - no welcome forthcoming, I approached the counter to be met with indifference. We were shown to a table and offered the wine list by a frosty waitress. On looking at the menu that we were given, we saw no sign of the vegetarian meze and decided to leave, realizing it was a mistake, but the chef said he would be able to sort it out for us. we had starter meze of cold dips with 1 toasted pita to share, and awful service - the waiter informing us not to ask what anything was as he had no idea! Lot's of fish dishes appeared even though we asked specifically for vegetarian. The waitress was surly at best and when we disputed the bill at the end, she argued with us when we put our case and then presented me with a phone with the manager trying to discuss what the problem was. Basil Fawlty would have blushed at this joke of a restaurant
