  • Jim Burgin School Of Motoring Definitely The Best Driving Instructor In Herts!

    I began my driving lessons October 07 when I first turned 17, and started learning with BSM. I had never been in the driver's seat of a car before my first lesson, but I was expected to already know how to drive. After a few lessons with BSM, I still knew no more about driving than when I did before I started learning. In the end I just dreaded driving lessons and didn't book anymore (this was approximately the middle of November 07) . At the end of April 08 my Dad came across this website and decided to try some driving lessons with Jim. As soon as I got in the driver's seat I felt really confident. Jim is a brilliant instructor, with a great sense of humour, and he doesn't miss a single mistake! After 18 lessons with him, I took my practical test and passed first time with only 5 minors. After passing, I gave Jim's contact details to a friend and she is really getting on well with her driving too! I would strongly suggest learning to drive with Jim, no matter on your ability!

    I thoroughly recommend Dave as a driving instructor. I used to be a fairly poor driver but under Dave's tutelage my confidence and ability rapidly increased and I subsequently passed my test first time. He is an excellent teacher who is very likeable and easy to understand and therefore I highly recommend him to any learner drivers!

    I was very pleased with jim, after a friend recomended him i was expecting him to be a very good instructor and i was not disapointed. He was patient, very friendly and i felt comfortable that he knew what he was doing. I passed first time and was surprisingly confident on the day of my test because i knew i had been taught well. I have recomended hIm to friends without hesitation.

    I was recommended Jim through a friend, after having a bad start with a BSM instructor. Jim was very calm and helped me to build my confidence on the road as well as teaching easy to follow instructions for maouvres. I have just passed first time thanks to Jim's thorough teaching and would recommend him to everyone!

  • Jim Burgin School Of Motoring WOW what a star instrutor...excellent teaching

    I began driving lessons with Jim at the age of 45..!!! From first lesson of getting in car behind wheel I always felt very at ease, relaxed and was always able to take any critism from him well. I passed my theory 100% thanks to a lot of revising but also Jim dealing with each sign and instrution on every lesson and at every opportunity. I looked forward to my lessons as we would have a good chatter and laugh, but above all I received very good tuition from a very professional man. Always on time for lessons and it would be a pleasure to recommend Jim to any learner. Jim thank you so very much without you I wouldnt be where I am now.......A confident driver who has been taught well.

    I was recommended Jim by a friend, and am glad i was convinced to drive with him. The best things about Jim is he is relaxed, patient and can always have a laugh. You always feel safe, and he is very reliable. Just passed my test and would put it all down to Jim's approach.

    Jim was an absolute superstar teaching me to drive. He was patient, calm, knowledgable, relaxed, vigilant and just a pleasure to learn with. He built my confidence up gradually and really made me feel proud of my improvements. He is a giggle and I really enjoyed all my lessons. He was always on time and polite with lots of handy tips to help remember things by. I passed my test first time and it was all thanks to him. Everybody should learn to drive with Jim, he really is very good!

    I had my lessons with Dave, and I can honestly reccomend him to anyone who wants to learn to drive and pass first time! He offers the best standard of teaching, always helps and explains everything patiently, even if you ask him the same question many times. Furthermore he is very punctual and always makes you feel relaxed, so that the lessons are enjoyable. Thank you very much Dave for helping me pass first time :)

    Dave was recommended to me and I would recommend him to anyone who wants to pass their test! I passed first time thanks to Dave, he was always punctual and flexible with arranging lessons to suit me. Dave always corrected my mistakes but aslo explained why I had made them. He was very patient and always made me feel relaxed, so I always looked forward to my lessons, Dave is excellent value for money as I passed in a lot less time than my friends who had gone to other driving schools. If you want the best then Dave is your Man!!

    I passed my test with Jim who i think is a fantastic driving instructor.He is very calm,polite,punctual and friendly.His teaching technique is so different to the others which is brilliant.Jim was very good at spotting my mistakes and he corrects me then and there which helped me a lot during my test.If its not for jim i will not be driving confidently on the road now.He is defintely good value for money.Jim is the best driving instructor and i would recommend him to anyone.

  • Jim Burgin School Of Motoring Would Reccommend To anyone!!

    After taking several tests whilst away at uni I cam home in search of a new driving instructor. The instructor I had for the Summer months was sarcastic, made me feel nervous in the car, dented my confidence and was generally a bad instructor. I found Jim (on this website) and am happy to say I have now passed. Jim built up my confidence and I no longer felt nervous in the car. I found him to be easy going, calming, punctual and above all a good and knowledgable instructor. I would not hesitate in recommeding him to anyone, especially those, who like me were on the verge of giving up.

  • Jim Burgin School Of Motoring excellent

    i learnt to drive with Dave, one of Jim's colleagues. He is very patient and never makes you feel uncomfortable as you learn to drive. He is always on time for lessons and makes you feel relaxed in the car. Dave makes sure that every aspect of driving is covered so that you have every chance of person your test. I passed first time because of him!

    Being one of the oldest in my year I didn't have any friends who could recomend a driving instructor, so by luck i ended up choosing jim... and am glad i did! Jim is a friendly driving instructor, with a laid back attitude, but this doesn't mean he doesnt take his job seriously! If you make a mistake he will not freak out! He is very patient, funny and as punctual as you can get. He teaches to the best standard possible! Cant beat him. Jim is the man!

    When I turned 17 and began looking for a driving instructor, i was determined to find one that was good humoured, reliable and flexible with lesson times aswell as being able to offer me good value for money. Within a couple of lessons it became evident that jim was this instructor. My sister spent 3 years and over £2000 with 4 different instructors before she passed her test, however with the wealth of driving knowledge jim has i was well prepared for my test within five months and 32 hours of driving time. Unlike other instructors, jim always gives you an hour if not more per lesson, aswell as suitable evaluation at the end of every lesson to give you something to think about before you next meet. I was recommended to jim from a friend and everyone who i know who have chosen him has passed first time which undoubtedly proves that he is one of the best instructors around. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend anyone to the organised,reliable and friendly man jim most definitely is.

    Passed my test today ! Without Jim it would never have happened. I regard Jim as a professional Driving Instructor with a great sense of humour who mad me feel safe secure and confident at the wheel at all times. He is 100% totally reliable and punctual, and his prices cannot be beaten. Jim has recommend me to take ‘Pass Plus’ which will keep my future insurance premiums low.

    The best thing about Jim is he is great with anyone, he adapts to different peoples situations and personalities. i was a chatterbox but i know of people who hardly say a word whilst in his car, hye makes us all feel comfortable. he also never puts you down or your mistakes just helps you. He is a top class driving instructer an i highly recommend him. Thanks Jim for all your support.

    Just passed this morning following around 24 hours in the car with Jim, his approach to teaching is top class, and very easy to follow. He is polite and well manned even when making huge mistakes! Cheers for the help in passing jim, im looking into pass plus now i think i will do it just to get the extra money off insurance.

    Jim is very friendly, patient and always turned up on time for my lessons. I found Jim easy to understand and I also found his car excellent to learn in. Jim is a very experienced driving instructor with vast amount of knowledge and this came across to me during each of my lessons, which were very enjoyable and good value for money.     I found Jim's manner to be very patient, experienced and friendly. I would highly reccommend his services to everyone, his teaching methods and techniques are of excellent standard and easy to remember. His knowledge of driving is of high standard and his lessons were always relaxed and enjoyable. He also has a great sense of humour which helps if you are a nervous driver. He offers excellent value for money and I passed my test first time with him.

    I have been having lessons with Jim and he has got me through my ADI part 2, I am currently working with him towards my ADI part 3, which I am confident I will pass with Jim's tuition. Jim is alway's reliable and punctual, he makes the lessons enjoyable and relaxed as he is very patient. We have a laugh although Jim is very professional and never misses any of my mistakes! I alway's learn something from every lesson and feel I am a step closer to becoming an ADI myself. I would have no hesitation in recommending Jim as a driving instructor.
