Brief business description

Cafe Rouge is a chain of Brasserie-style restaurants serving a range of light meals and drinks within a French atmosphere. There is a large choice of dishes as well as hot and cold drinks which makes this restaurant a good stop off point for tea and snacks rather than grand dinners.

Good all rounder

Cafe Rouge is a nice all round place to eat, it is not the cheapset in town but is quite reasonably priced for Berkhamsted, It is quite big and you can usually get a table although I would recommend booking for a Friday or Saturday or Sunday. I have often met friends in here for lunch or just drinks at lunch time, it is also big enough that you can comfortable take buggy is if you go during the day and sit in the back room. The do nice fruit ice drinks which I would suggest trying, and also a nice chocolate waffle dessert. We usually stay for quite a while and never feel pressurised to leave or order more drinks etc. they have a courtyard for when the weather is nice. There is also a pay and display car park around the back, staff are nice and friendly, good all round place to go.
